The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult confronts the legacy of the Holocaust through a woman who discovers a hidden Nazi past. I loved how it blurred the line between victim and perpetrator, asking who has the right to forgive, and how truth can be buried in silence. It made me think about intergenerational trauma and the role storytelling plays in justice. The Spoon and the Sea also deals with the aftermath of the Holocaust through displacement, memory, and the painful effort to recover what was lost. If The Storyteller stayed with you, I believe my novel will, too.
